Prep Transition

We offer a transition program that extends over four sessions, to ensure that every child has the opportunity to become familiar with the school setting and begin to build relationships with staff and peers.
Following the acceptance of a position in Prep, families have the opportunity to come to school for a uniform fitting appointment during Term 3.
The formal transition program has a number of components:
-
One of our teachers may visit your child at their Kindergarten/Daycare at a time convenient to the Kindergarten/Daycare
-
Kindergarten Transition forms will be forwarded to the school
-
Four orientation sessions will take place in November and December

During these orientation sessions, children have the opportunity to engage in story, play, writing and creating. They will build relationships with other children and will work with a variety of staff. At the same time, parent information sessions are held, covering topics around curriculum and how students learn, the use of digital technology, Sacramental and other faith aspects of school, and other topics to help children and their parents prepare for school.
The dates and times for student orientations and parent information sessions are as follows.
-
Session 1 – Monday 9th November - 9:30am to 10:30am
-
Session 2 – Monday 16th November - 9:30am to 10:30am
